Privacy Policy for KanjiQ

Last updated: September 19, 2026

KanjiQ ("the app") is a Japanese kanji and vocabulary learning app. This page explains what data the app collects and how it is used.

No account, no personal data collected by us

KanjiQ does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use it. We do not operate any server that stores or receives your personal data.

Data stored on your device

Your learning progress — which kanji and words you've seen, your coin balance, streak, and answer history — is stored only in a local database on your own device. This data is never transmitted anywhere. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes it.

Advertising

KanjiQ shows ads through Unity LevelPlay, an ad mediation service. To serve and measure ads, Unity and the ad networks in its mediation may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA), general device information, and approximate location, and may use this information to personalize ads and measure their performance.

On iOS, this is subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework — you will be asked for permission before any such tracking occurs, and you can change your choice at any time in your device's Settings.

For more information about Unity's data practices, see Unity's Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

KanjiQ is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
